Lois's Cranberry Sauce

1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 allspice
1/2 cup apple juice
1 lb cranberries
1 apple: peeled, cored and chopped
(optional) 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted

1. combine everything in 2 quart casserole dish and mix well.
2. cover with seran wrap and poke some holes.
3. microwave on high for 9-11 minutes or until berries pop.
4. add walnuts and stir.
5. place in fridge and cool
